Established by dynasties of yore the temple is jointly managed by the Munjanattu Dynasty and Villyadathu Dynasty. At one point in history these families/dynasties found it difficult to ran the temple with pomp and glory. Then they handed over the temple and its properties to the N.S.S Karayogam. For past four decades N.S.S Karayogam gears the daily rituals of the temple.

It is sad to bring to your notice that this old temple is in a dilapidated state. Things have come to such a condition that if not done proper maintenance and repairs the temple is all set to collapse. The ‘devaprasnam’ conducted recently too points to the urgent reconstruction of the Chuttampalam and Dwagam.
